He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jones and Velma Hall Jones; his wife Velma Lee Lambright; his daughter Cindy Jones; and his siblings, Billy, Bobby Jones, Letha and Donnella.

He is survived by: his children, Tanya Jones (Wesley Cunningham) and Shane Jones (Kristen); his grandchildren, Sterling Cash (Courtney), Chris Holder (Gannon), Craig Jones, Velma Metz (Andy), Sandy McCullough (Jim), Amber Jeffers (Wayne) and Elizabeth Cantu (Jeremy); and his siblings-in-law, Sherry Lambright and Odis Lambright. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
