He was predeceased by: his parents, Agueda Moya Fonseca and Felipe P. Fonseca, Sr.; his siblings, Arturo Fonseca, Sr., Mary F. Velez and Araceli Velasquez; his brother-in-law Juan Baldera; his niece Rachel Baldera; and his nephew Arturo Fonseca, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Fonseca; his children, Maria Griffith, Felipe Fonseca III (Gayle) and Arturo Nicholas Fonseca (Melissa); his siblings, Martha Baldera and Guillermo Fonseca (Martha Patricia); and his grandchildren, Ezri Fonseca, Felipe Fonseca IV, Sebastian Garza and Piper-Rose Garza. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
