She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Whitmire and Mary Whitmire; her husband Walter Hicks; and her brothers, Marion Whitmire and Freddie Whitmire.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Jones (Michael) and Richard Lee Garner; her stepchildren, Randy Hicks (Brenda), Jamie Hicks (Sandra) and Lori Ann Hicks; and her sisters, May Powell and Alberta Tyler. She is also survived by 8 step grandchildren.
