She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roy and Ruby Mae Renfro Hamilton; her husband James Edwin Thompson Stapp; her siblings, Renfro "Fro" Hamilton, Louise and Adams (Roy Ray "Manny" Hamilton); her granddaughter Kimberly Denee'Stapp; and her great grandchild Alaina Barecky.

She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy W. Stapp (Jo Ann) of Hewitt and Paul M. Stapp (Cathy) of Port Lavaca; her sister Elizabeth Ann Dulock (Lawrence) of Hewitt; her grandchildren, Ashley Barecky (Aaron) of Port Lavaca, Kristopher Stapp of Hewitt and Ross Stapp (Samantha) of Willis; and her great grandchildren, James "Jamie" Stapp, Anna Barecky, Kenley Stapp, Allison Barecky, Rylee Stapp, Ella Stapp and Brooklyn Stapp.
