He was predeceased by: his parents, Melchor Salinas, Sr. and Elvira T. Salinas; and his siblings, Ricardo, Juan, Martin, Epifanio Salinas, Manuela Vela, Jesusa and Luisa Cuellar.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Salinas; his children, Mario Alberto Salinas and Noemi "Mimi" Salinas; his grandchildren, Eddie Fuentes, Jr., Christabel Iris Sosa, Arianna Elysia Gonzalez, Angelina Rae Yzaguirre and Benjamin Salinas, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Maya, Gracie Fuentes, Angel, Isaac, Keana Sosa, Carlos, Sebastian Tellez, Niko and Gianna Gonzalez.
