He was predeceased by: his daughter Trudi Scott. He is survived by: his wife Judy Svetanoff (Koch); his brother Robert Svetanoff; and also, Lorri Svetanoff Gordon, William Rains and Daniel Rains. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, five great– great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
