He was predeceased by: his father Juan Alvarez Ramos. He is survived by: his wife Maria M. Castillo Rios; his close friend Julia Luna Garcia; his daughters, Ericka Yanelly Alvarez-Badillo and Amelie De Carmen Alvarez; and his mother Amelia Fernandez Cordova. He is also survived by two sisters: six brothers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
