He was predeceased by: his parents, Timoteo Barrientez and Rebeca Barrientez; and his siblings, Timoteo Barrientez Jr., Ernestina Barrientez, Marcelina Martinez and Yolanda Carrizales.
He is survived by: his wife Apolonia "Pauline" Barrientez; his children, Belinda Galvan (Emilio, Sr.), Cecilio "Chilo" Barrientez, Jr. (Regina Cisneros) and Timoteo "Tim" C. Barrientez (Valentina); his grandchildren, Emilio Galvan Jr., Emilie Alarcon (Mizrraim), Quentin James Barrientez, Julien David Barrientez and Jadyn Timoteo Barrientez; his great grandchild Gianna Rose Alarcon; and his siblings, Josefina B. Ramirez (Guadalupe Sr.) and Leslie Barrientez (Jessica). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
