It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William D. George Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas, born in Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on December 21, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dewitt George, Sr. and Myrtle Mae George (Kelley) of Commerce, Texas; and his son-in-law Dean Cook of Port Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean McNabb of Port Arthur; his children, Kathy Cook of Port Arthur, Beth Shupp-George (Kristi Shupp-George) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and David George of Houston, Texas.; his grandchildren, Adam Cook of Port Arthur, Ashley Cook, Ellie Shupp-George of Chambersburg, Teddy George and Daphne George; and also Susan George.
Due to Covid concerns, the family will not be present during the viewing and they ask everyone to be safe and attend the virtual service if possible.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rotary Foundation or to the American Heart Association.
