She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Nugent Martindale and Evie Pearl Allen Martindale; her husband Elmer M. Wheeler; her sons, Danny and Tommy Wheeler; her siblings, Mae Black, Mary Ann Bailey and Thomas Arthur Martindale; and her grandson Jason Gaugh.

She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Armstrong (Danny) of Montgomery, Donna Gaugh (Danny) of Conroe, Kim Broussard (Curtis) of Port Arthur and Tammy Cruthirds (Brandon) of Burkeville; and her daughter-in-law Dian Wheeler of Montgomery. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
