He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Tooke (Cooper) and Reuben Tooke; his wife Dell Tooke; and his sisters, Flora Adkins and Frances McPherson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rondell Merritt (John) of Friendswood and Randa Hurtado (Brian) of Beaumont; and his grandchildren, Grayson, Britton Merritt, Braxton and Preslee Hurtado.
