He is survived by: his wife Margie Mitchell; his daughter Yvette Mitchell of Port Arthur, Texas; his foster daughter Andrieka Lockett of Fort Worth, Texas; his sisters-in-law, Elsie Mitchell, Bobbie Mitchell of Port Arthur and Viola Rhine of Jeanerette, Louisiana; and his nieces and nephews, Claudia Mitchell of Port Arthur, Patricia Hanes of Port Arthur, Barbara Minard of Port Arthur, Bonnie Mitchell of Baytown, Texas, Clarence Mitchell (Felicia) of Dallas, David Mitchell and Joe Mitchell, Jr. (Roxanne) of Port Arthur, Texas. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
