He was predeceased by: his parents, Gussie Frank Bailey and Alice Eva Dearing Bailey; his brother Elmer F. Bailey; his nephew Rodney Bailey; and his nephew-in-law Mark Aucion.

He is survived by: his brother James Bailey of Nederland; and his nieces, Connie Gregory (James) of Groves and Cindy Aucion of Kirbyville. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
