It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Allen Bennett of Port Arthur, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman C. Bennett and Virginia E. Macfadden Bennett (Donna Bennett); his brothers, Norman Bennett, Bill Bennett and Jimmy Bennett; and his daughters, Terry Bennett and Channa Albrecht.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Bennett; his sons, Weslie Pounds (Ruth Pounds) and Kenneth Pounds; his adoptive daughter Sharon Green; and his grandchildren, Blake Vann, Trey Conway (Bailey Conway), Austin Conway (Alee Conway), Jared Gerfers, Colton Gerfers, Brandie Marksberry, Amber Marshall and Magan Bordes. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
