He was predeceased by: his wife Claudia Barras; and his parents, Horace Barras and Gertrude Barras. He is survived by: his daughters, Ericca Mendoza (Andrew) and Amy Peters (Anthony); his grandchildren, Olivia Mendoza (Nathan Griffin), Isaac Mendoza, Audrey Peters and Elliott Peters; his sister Cynthia Sell; and his sister-in-law Janice Ramirez.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Melancon Levingston Funeral Home (1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery (4955 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703).
