She was predeceased by: her parents, Medora Barbay and Wallace Barbay; her husband Curtis L. Hammond; her siblings, Roy Barbay, Robert Barbay, Claude Barbay, Curtis Barbay and Mary Kuhl; and her son-in-law Jerry Ardoin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Hammond Chatelain (Chester) of Lumberton, Diann Hammond Ardoin of Nederland and Debbie Hammond Pletcher (John) of Nederland; and her grandchildren, Kathy Kellas (Steve), Curtis Chatelain, Jeff Ardoin, Darlene Smith, Josh Ardoin (Sarah), Reid Pletcher, Rhiannon Pletcher and Resa Pletcher. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
