She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus Burney and Gertrude Burney; her husband James Alexis; her stepmother Mildred Burney; her children, Walter Paul Jr., Randall Paul, Brian Evans Broussard and Lavelva Broussard Joseph; and her siblings, Don, Sanders Burney and Verna Ve Hayes (Burney).
She is survived by: her children, Pamela VanWright (Jeffery "JB") and James Alexis Jr. "Adrian" (Kieyah); her stepson Brentley Paul Broussard (Bethany); and her siblings, Lucille Martin (Martin), Dolores Martin Hayes, Marva Martin Richard, Betty Martin Mouton, Ronald Burney (Rosalind) and Michael Burney (Loyce). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, friends.
