It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Jean Champagne of Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on June 5, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Stanford Champagne, Sr.; her children, Stanford Joseph Champagne, Jr., Carl Joseph Champagne (Jane) and Cynthia Marie Champagne-Young (James Young Jr.); her grandchildren, James Young III, Jayla Young, Jules Young, Aliza Champagne and Carl Champagne, Jr.; her great grandchild Jharyn Kade Romar; and her sisters, Opal Gray, Jill Rochon, Lori Bossier Davis, Clara Hart, Sarah Bossier and Marie Bossier Lundy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
