It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Maxine Ratley of Port Arthur, Texas, born in Cassville, Missouri, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Mary Maxine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary Maxine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Ratley. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Cooper of Winsboro, Clyde "Terry" Cooper of Tamassee, Kanda Wimberly of Port Neches, Texas and Karen Seward of Port Neches, Texas; and her pet Coco. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
