We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2022, at the age of 103, Mary Lou Sam of Port Arthur, Texas, born in Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bentley Sam and Octavia Sam; her siblings, Joseph, John, Victoria, Amelia Fontenot and Josephine Noel; her daughter Lena Manuel; and her great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jimmy T. Jr. and Parker.
She is survived by: her daughter Elaine Whitley (Jimmie); her grandchildren, Stephanie Mitchell, Jimmie Tremayne (Felicia), Jennifer, Jeffrey and Jason (Kristal); her great grandchildren, Todd Matthews, Amia, Ragan, Karen and Taylor; her niece Jean Hill (family: Houston); and her friend Westside. She is also survived by family (Houston); special friends.
