She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Blane and Ora Norman Albro; her husband Vernon Louis Simon; her children, Vernon Louis Simon, Jr., Patricia Ann Downing, Hattie Marie Griggie (Willie, Jr.) and Alvin Craig Simon, Sr.; and her former spouse Willie Ridgle. She was also cherished by her eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
