Margurite Louise Holder Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2021, at the age of 91, Margurite Louise Holder of Port Arthur, Texas, born in Colmesneil, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cason A. Richardson and Helen Versie Lockheart Richardson; her husbands, James E. Bates, Jr. and Arnold W. Holder; her son James E. Bates III; her siblings, Ava Quimby, Robert Richardson and James Richardson; and her stepdaughter Shannon Holder Gann.
She is survived by: her son Dale F. Bates of Port Arthur; her stepson James W. Holder (Suzanne) of Hemphill; and her grandchildren, Shonda Weaver (Mikal), Kerri Sheppard (Joshua), Stephanie Justice (Christopher), Clifford Burke, Jr. and James "Andy" Holder (Melissa). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Coronavirus-19 we request that friends and relatives practice social distancing while attending Margurite's visitation and service. All guests are required to wear a face mask before entering Melancon's Funeral Home.
