She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Joseph (Snow) and Lue Bertha Merritt; and her son Lawrence Curtis Mathews, Sr.. She is survived by: her sister Lois Batise; her daughters, Kathy Mathews Landry and Tammy Mathews-Brandon; and her grandchildren, Lawrence Curtis Mathews Jr., Korey Landry, Antanique Landry, Markeisha Dorsey, Mallarie Parker, Breana Landry and Dorian Brandon. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
