He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Simon Adam Stevens and Ociana Marie Trimble Stevens; his wife Nell Donnelly of Port Arthur; and his children, John, Jr., Cynthia, Thomas, Philip and Lauren. He was also cherished by five children, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
