It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Glen James Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on July 16, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Mae James and John Sampson; his grandmothers, Lillie Tuscon and Linda Sampson; his siblings, Michael Anthony James, Russell Sampson, Leroy Sampson and Linda Sampson Weaver; and his nephew Allan Ray Buchanan.
He is survived by: his significant other Vanessa Fentroy; his son John James Jr.; his stepdaughters, Brandi Fentroy Rogers (Tirrell) of Port Arthur and Kimberly Fentroy of Washington, DC.; his sister-in-law Trish Nico (Robert) of Port Arthur, Texas; his siblings, Patricia James Reeder, Vanessa Sampson Dorsey of Houston, Texas, Ronnie James (Donna) of Carbondale, Don James of Port Arthur, Texas, Frankie Sampson, Ella Lee Sampson of Houston and Kenneth Williams of Port Arthur, Texas; his nephew Chad Sampson; his niece Lillian Gallow of Houston, Texas; and his aunt Naomi Moore King (Mike) of Mount Holly. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
