It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Melancon of Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dena Wismer (Wubbles) and Ben Wismer; her husband E. J. Melancon; her daughter-in-law Connie Melancon; and her siblings, Merle, Roy, Dick Wismer, Ruth Gilmore and Gerry Vanderbeck.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Perio (Larry) of Orange, Terry Melancon (Liddy) of Montgomery and Lynn Melancon of Toledo Bend; and her siblings, Dale Wismer, Don Wismer and Erma Hartshorn of Lincoln, NE.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home are required to wear facemask or coverings and practice social distancing as mandated by State and County officials.
