He was predeceased by: his parents, William Motte and Avis La Motte; his sister Maurine Johnson; his brother-in-law Marvin Johnson; his brothers, William Allen and John Hershell La Motte; and his nephew Garriel Dwain Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Winfred La Motte of Port Arthur and Sheltanya Field of Killeen; and his sisters, Tammy La Motte Washington of Nacogdoches, Mildred Faye Griffin of Rusk and Evira Smith Johnson of Port Arthur, TX.. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 greatgrand children.
