He was predeceased by: his parents, Anaise Simon (Vallot) and Robert O. Simon; his wife Liola Jane Simon; and his stepgrandson Michael Donovan Bushnell. He is survived by: his children, Candace Beard (Mike) of Baytown, Anna LeBouef (Larry) of Bridge City, Judson Simon of Port Arthur, Juliana Stringer (Alan) of Evadale, Angela Simon of Port Arthur and Robert Simon (Ashlyn) of Granbury; his sister Verna Duhon of Mauriceville; his grandchildren, Glori Loxterman, Michael Loxterman, James Loxterman, Anastasia Loxterman, Lani Harkey, Keely Simon, Renee Goodwin, Lance Savell, Casey Ray Savell and Travis Savell; his stepgrandchildren, Christian Beard, Crispin Beard, Casey Alan Stringer, Corey Stringer, Caden Stringer, Brittany Dugan and Jacquelyn Beckworth; and his friend Maudry Mire. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren.
