He was predeceased by: his adoptive father Samuel Ellis, Sr.; his siblings, John Ellis (Wilma), Harry Coleman (Wilmenia), Harrison Coleman and Joy (Will); and his grandson Harold Cash.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Jackson Ellis; his children, Harold H. Ellis, Jr. (Nicole), Gail Ellis and Ashley Ellis; his grandchildren, Sergarace Ellis, Diana Ellis, Marcus White, Courtney Kane (Aboubacry), Crystal Green, Ciera White, Zandra Ellis and Cody Conway; his daughter-in-law Nicole Fletcher-Ellis; his sisters-in-law, Wilma Ellis and Wilmenia Coleman; and his former wife Velma Gaines. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
