He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Cooksey (Hayes) and Charles Boyd Cooksey, Sr.; his son Craig "Bubba" Cooksey; his great grandchildren, Jordan Gutierrez and Victoria Trevino; and his brothers, C. L. Cooksey and Charles Boyd Cooksey, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Cooksey of Port Arthur, TX; his children, Colleen Broussard (Kirk) of Port Arthur, TX, Troy Cooksey (Pam) of Houston, TX and Curry Cooksey (Suzi) of Woodlands, TX.; and his brother James Roy Cooksey of Port Arthur, TX.. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home (5200 W Parkway St, Groves, TX 77619). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
