He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Bell Arvie and Bertha Lynn Thomas; his grandparents, Ferdinand, Addie Jack Arvie, Carlton and Armois Wilson Thomas; and his aunts and uncles, Climpton Arvie, Ozan Arvie, Wages Arvie, Efton Thomas, Sr., Beverda Bias, Evelina Chriswell, Bertha Guillory, Ella Jack, Marcie Scott and Betty Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Tanya Arvie, LaShonda Brown (Edward, Sr.), Kristopher Briscoe, Jasmin'Rogers-Arvie, Ja'Maya Rogers-Arvie and Jahmal Rogers-Arvie; his siblings, Denita Ann Lewis (Ole), Alton Lee Arvie, Sr. (Arstella) and Mona Gail Foots (Douglas, Sr); his stepmother Jane Price; his stepbrothers, Howard Price, Harold Price, Jr. and Eldridge Price, Sr. (Grisette); his aunts, Zetta Alfred and Catherine Simon; his grandchildren, Javonte, Deshawn, Mahogany, Edward, Jr., Jacci, Ja'ven and Kylen; and also Shaow-Meow. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church (501 W Thomas Blvd, Port Arthur, TX 77640). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
