He is survived by: his wife Patricia Fontenette; his children, Veronica Conner (Leroy), Floyd M. Fontenette, Jr. (Lula), David Fontenette (Judy), Karen Shepherd (Eric) and Joycelyn Tezeno (Todd); his grandchildren, Michelle Francis (Lawrence), Sheila Casimire, Lesia Trainer (Nathaniel), Dairol Charlot, Jr., Brandon Charlot, David Fontenette, Jr., Denari Fontenette, Precious Saunders, Jordan Booker, Jacarie Fontenette, Jakayla Cormier, Darwin Dejean II, Darius Fontenette, Allerick Tezeno, Jayla Fontenette and Chelsie Fontenette; his great grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Maci, Kyrie, Darwin III, Mello, Thaige, Maverick, Power, Devin, Justavia, Kensleigh, Ryia, Porsha and Kynlie; his stepmother-in-law Irene Louis; his siblings, Paul Herman Fontenette (Mary) and Prinella Fontenette (Mike); his siblings-in-law, Earl Green, Bennie Gallentine, Barbara Wilson (Willie), Delores Fontenette, Helen Pilette, Beverly Fontenette, Rena Fontenette, Delores Sanders, Carolyn Louis, Karen Collins (Nathaniel), Wanda Gilford (Larry), Brenda Howard and Nazy Louis; and his close friend Stacy Hampton.
