She was predeceased by: her parents, James Artemus McMichael and Harmeline Davis McMichael; her husband Hubert Alonzo Swanzy, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Ann Marie Swanzy; and her grandchildren, Kelly Angelica Swanzy and Eric James Swanzy.

She is survived by: her children, Gale Kercheval (Steve) of Meadows Place, Chris Swanzy (Kathy) of Montgomery, Kelly Swanzy (Angel) of Crystal Beach, Arlen Swanzy (Trudy) of Arlington and Keith Swanzy of Port Arthur; her grandchildren, Shad Swanzy, Michael Swanzy (Kelly), Christy Wootton (Andrew), Candice Phoenix (Jonathan), Krystal Gutierrez (John), Ryan Kercheval, Andy Kercheval, Alexis Swanzy, Colby Swanzy and Kim Swanzy; her nieces, Karen Haynes and Patricia Sealy; her nephew John DeWitt (Stephanie); and also Mallory. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
