He was predeceased by: his father Thong Van Nguyen; and his grandson Von Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Hat Thi Nguyen of Vietnam; his children, Theresa Merrifield (Bryce) of Florida, Jimmy Nguyen of Mississippi, Barbara Jolly (Kris) of Alabama, Samantha Johnson (Virgil Jr), Timmy Nguyen of Florida, Tommy Nguyen of Florida and Cynthia Nguyen of Tennessee; his significant other Ha Bich Le; and his grandchildren, Talan Ramsay, Omari Johnson, Adrianna Johnson, Gaven, Lacie, Dawsen, Carmen Jolly, Naomi, Isiah, Noah and Joshua Nguyen.
