She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Olympe Chauvin Hotard and Sidney Joseph Hotard, Sr.; her siblings, S. J. Hotard, II, J. P. Hotard, Joe Hotard, Leo Hotard, Marie Labatut and Mary John Hotard; and her grandson Kelly Romero.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne Prosperie (Kathie) of Lumberton, Frank Dale Prosperie (Ginger) of Port Arthur, Kenneth Prosperie (Peggy) of Bridge City, Elaine Romero of Port Neches and Kathryn T. Smith of Arizona; and her sister Rita Prosperie. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 the funeral home and church require all family and friends who attend services wear a mask and practice social distancing during all services and the visitation at the church and the cemetery as well.
