He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Eagan Barnes and Floyd Franklin Barnes; and his siblings, Marilee Tate, Mitzi Barnes and Ronald Barnes (Carol).
He is survived by: his wife Alice Gongora Barnes of Port Arthur; his children, Christina Barnes of Blue Springs and Matthew Barnes (Meagan) of Vidor; his grandchildren, Staci Mendoza (Jacob), Katie Nale (Charles), Dylan Caldwell, Anthony Barnes and Nathan Tabor; his brother Douglas Barnes (Claudia) of Carrier, Mississippi; and his brother-in-law Ron Tate of Detroit. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church maintenance fund in Port Arthur, Texas.
