He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Paul Roberts and Mary K. Sonnier; his stepfather Oliver Sonnier; and his brothers, Edward Roberts, Jr. and Chester Roberts.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sherman Lee Roberts of Port Arthur, Texas, Mercedes Scott, Joyce Abie of Minnesota, Theresa Mitchell of Nebraska, Edwinda Thomas (Cornell) of Beaumont, Gail Waters of Tennessee, Pauline Marshall and Melissa Roberts of Port Arthur. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
