He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thomas and Annie Bell of Washington; his grandparents, Rogers and Hellia Marshall; his wife Ernestine Thibeaux Marshall; the mother of his children Stephanie Ann Marshall; his sons, Damien Cook and Stephen Thibeaux-Willis; his brother Micheal Marshall, Sr.; and his brother-in-law James Jones.
He is survived by: his former wife Stephanie Ann Carter; his children, Rushon Hill (Jafaar), Melvin Marshall (Ashley) and Michael Thibeaux (Jeannetta); his siblings, Rachel Thomas, Nelson Marshall, Diane Jones and LaShalda Thomas Blake (Patrick); his granddaughter Ariel Marshall; his great grandchild Gustavo Pacheco, Jr.; his godchildren, Melissa Adams Smith and Justin of Washington; his sister-in-law Ann Jackson Marshall; and his niece Yolanda Marshall Joseph. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
