He is survived by: his wife Betty Long Mitchell; his children, Charles "Charlie" Mitchell Jr. (Carol Carlson Mitchell) and Cynthia "Cindy" Mitchell Walsh (Shawn Walsh); his grandchildren, Emily Mitchell Goines (Garrett Goines), Charles "Trey" Mitchel III, Lanie Walsh and Libby Walsh; and his great grandchildren, Mitchell Lane Goines and Jaxon Ray Goines.
