She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Mendez Peralez and Daniel Peralez; and her siblings, Alfred Valdez, Godofredo Peralez, Samuel Peralez, Minnie Moura, Consuelo Abrego, Esther Montoya, Juliana Espinoza and Maria Rabeneck.
She is survived by: her husband Anselmo Castañeda of Port Arthur; her children, Ricardo Ramos (Anna) of The Woodlands, James R. Acosta, Jr. of Waco, Camilla Richard (Rick) of Bridge City, Claudia Acosta (Terrance Adamson) of Lake Jackson and Clarissa Koederitz (David) of Harvey; her grandchildren, Rebecca Ramos, Ricardo Ramos, Jr, Roberto Ramos, Regina Bell, Claudia Crenshaw, Ramon Ramos, Rodrigo Ramos, Olivia Simmons, David McGuire, Lita McGuire, Jessica Groth, Vanessa Koederitz, Cassandra Koederitz and David Koederitz; and her siblings, Jesus Peralez of Brownsville, Jose Y. Peralez of Helotes and Gloria Mercado of Fresno. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her beloved church in her name.
