He was predeceased by: his daughter Cori Elizabeth Hardin; and his brother Henry Mel Hardin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Hardin of Port Arthur; his daughters, Candace Sessums and Cara Valma; his grandchildren, Corey Valma, Antonia Valma, Aundrea Valma and Nathaniel Valma; and his siblings, Wayne Hardin (Mud), Calvin Hardin, Winnie Camp, Carolyn Broussard and Emily Benoit.
