He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hampton and Louise Hampton; his wife Vernal Reynolds Hampton; and his brother Bernell. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Hampton of Rock Hill, SC; his stepchildren, Joyce Jones of Baytown, TX and Kevin Levine of Port Arthur, TX; his brothers, James of Port Arthur, TX, Curtis (Brenda) of Port Arthur, TX, Ralph of Port Arthur, TX, Ronald of Baytown, TX and Harold of San Antonio, TX; his stepgrandson Dalvin Berry Jr.; his close friend Brenda Leday Conner; his uncle Hebert Alexander Jr. (Sandra); and his aunts, Molly Hill of Port Arthur, TX, Mary Jane Alexander of Port Arthur, TX and Verletta Promise of Beaumont, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
