He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Pitre and Floria Pitre; and his siblings, Floria Lee Smith and Alton Pitre, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bazile Pitre; his children, Andrea Pitre of Beaumont, TX, Gregory Pitre, Sr. (Anita) of Hutto, TX, Eric Pitre of Dallas, TX and Patrick Bazile of Ville Platte, LA; his grandchildren, Gregory Pitre, Jr. (Rebecca), Sedrick Phillips (Valencia), Jalen Pitre (Rebecka), Julian Pitre, Tre'Pitre, Ferron Chevis, Chantel Washington and Emily Gloston-Malbrough; his siblings, Robert Lavalais (Connie), Arvenel Pitre (Ellen), Willie Pitre (Miriam), Emile Pitre (Barbara) and Linda Carpenter (Sammy); his cousin Gordon Lavalais; and his godchildren, Ashley Zeno, Cassidy Averitt-Carter, Emmanuel Carter and Shilo Baptist Church. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church (3755 Fannett Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at 5871 LA-361, Morrow, LA 71333.
