She was predeceased by: her parents, Dudley Lewis, Jr. and Bernice Ruffin Lewis; and her brother Dudley Lewis, III. She is survived by: her sons, Jon Batiste, Sr. (Ashland) of Austin, Jermaine Batiste (Crystal) of Fresno and Jason Batiste (Whitne) of Austin, Texas; her brothers, Clinton Lewis of Giddings and Mark Twain Lewis (Linda) of Casper, Wyoming; and her grandchildren, Jon Batiste, Jr., Sydney Batiste, Aiden Batiste, Manson Harris, Emirrah Harris and Judah Batiste. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
