He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Harkless and Leola Robinson; his grandson Jameral "Pappy" Edwards; and his brothers, William Harkless and Lawrence Harkless.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Edwards-Harkless; his children, Ashley Harkless-Green (Napolean), Desiree Edwards-Grays (Robert), Christopher Edwards (Devona), Dara Edwards, Kalyen Edwards and Bryson Edwards; and his siblings, Louis Harkless of Joseph, Lloyd Harkless (Sue), Edward Harkless (Mary), Deloris Harkless, Melvin Harkless, Vivian Harkless-Castillo, Larry Harkless, Willie Harkless and Phillip Harkless. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
