He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fitch and Emmatila Fitch; his former wife Connie Robinson Fitch; and his siblings, Benard Fitch, Georgia Gaspard, Agnes Moore, Anna Fitch, Hazel Richard, Evelyn Floerke, Mary Ella Moseley, Ruby Sebastian and Jeanette Turnham.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Fitch; his children, Joan Orr (Dwain), Veronica Messina, Gwen Young (Mark) and Jack Fitch (Stacey); his children-in-law, Stacy Menard (Kevin), Edmund Hernandez (Cheryl), Daniel Hernandez (Tricia) and Reagan Hernandez (Kim); and his grandchildren, Aaron Sterling, Raegan Sterling (Jennifer), Tessa Shuff (Stephen), Vincent Messina Jr., Madelyn Messina (Ethan McInnis), Mary Kate Middleton (Kyle), Jacob Young, Jared Young (Abby), Evan Fitch and Gabriel Fitch. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Melancon's Funeral Home (1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (3648 61st St, Port Arthur, TX 77642). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Oak Bluff Memorial Park (618 Block St, Port Neches, TX 77651).
