He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Ann Bernal (Jesse) of Groves, Allen Ray Abshire, Jr. of Rosharon and Jeffry Lynn Abshire (Brenda) of Victoria; his grandchildren, Eddie Bernal, Rachel Winfree (Kevin), Dara Bernal, Hannah Bernal, Nathan Abshire (Tashia), Allena Abshire, Patrick Shaver, Joshua Shaver and Ian Tyler; and his siblings, Clifford James Abshire of Port Arthur and Vivian Lee Doyle of New Llano, Louisiana. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
