She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Broussard and Mose Batiste; her grandparents, Jean Broussard and Emmanuel Broussard; her son Tremain (Melisa) of San Antonio; her former husband Steven Braimer; her sisters, Karol Nicks-Suber and Deborah Nicks-Lewis; her nieces and nephews, Deborah Batiste, Brandy Voorhies-McBeth, Imani Suber, John Batiste, Fredrick Voorhies, Donald Nicks, Orenthal Lewis, Ahmad Lewis and Ivey Suber III; her brothers-in-law, Ivey Suber and Wilbert Lewis (Rip); her friend Louis Tyler; her stepfather Paul Nicks; and her sister Linda Batiste Voorhies. She was also cherished by cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, classmates and friends.
A two-hour viewing will begin promptly at 9 a. m. followed by the service at 11 a. m. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
