It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alcee Valsin of Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Adam Valsin, Anita Potier, Ezola Syes, Lindsey Solarie and Lois Lewis; his wife Patricia Valsin of Port Arthur, Texas; his siblings, Louis Valsin Jr. (Gail), Willie Mae Frederick (George) and Mary L. Thomas; his children, Bessie Valsin, Sommer Green (Horace) and Roderick Reed (Jun); his grandchildren, Bra, Shaud, Shiran, Aya, Sai and Haru; his great grandchildren, Kasen, Bra and Shaud Jr.; his friends, Leroy Simon and Michael Thompson; and his father David Edwards. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
