He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonzo Mackey and Ilda Mackey (Callahan); his sister Janice; and his brother-in-law Wayne Laney. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Vanderpool (Chad) of Montgomery, Sarah Collins (Aaron) of Camden, Max Pixley (Tracy) of Metamora, Phillip Pixley (Jennifer) of Palmyra and Celia Zahowski (Paul) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Rianna, Tate, Carter, Jace, Lexi, Wyatt, Mya, Wesley, Piper, Ashton, Emmett, Joel, Graham, Harper, Ava, Penelope, Luke, Austin (Alissa) and Madisyn; his great grandchild Aubree; his siblings, Judy Ross of Hillsdale, Roberta Tanner (Gary) of Hillsdale, Jerry Mackey (Diane) of Howe, IN and Janette Vernon (Mark) of Greenville, SC; and his pet Ike.
